Marie Anderson retired as Police Ombudsman on 31 December 2025. Recruitment for her successor is now underway.

Nikki Davis, Director of Current Investigations
Director of Current Investigations, Nikki Davis

Nikki Davis joined the Police Ombudsman’s Office as an Investigating Officer in 2007, having worked in a number of investigative roles abroad. Nikki was subsequently promoted to Deputy Senior Investigating Officer, then Senior Investigating Officer with responsibility for the investigation of significant investigations. In January 2024 she was appointed Director of Current Investigations, with oversight of all non-legacy Police Ombudsman investigations.

Paula Gillespie is the Director of HR and Corporate Services and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Paula previously worked for the Office as Senior HR Officer and then HR Manager from 2008 to 2019 before leaving to take up responsibility for HR, Finance and Communications with the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People (NICCY).

Jennifer leads a new Department in the Police Ombudsman’s Office with a specific focus on demonstrating the impact of our work on improving policing and building public confidence in policing.

Alice McKelvey is the Director of Legal Services and joined the Police Ombudsman's Office in February 2025, having been In House Counsel in the Northern Ireland Assembly.
