The Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland has reaffirmed its commitment to equality, good relations and public accountability, aligning its work with the strategic objectives of the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.
This quarterly bulletin presents statistics on the number of complaints received by the Police Ombudsman for the first quarter of 2025-2026 (April 2025 - June 2025). It also compares the level of complaints with previous years, helping to identify trends in the number and nature of the complaints received.

This statistical report presents the results from the 2024/25 ‘Complainant Satisfaction Survey’ carried out by the Police Ombudsman’s Office. The survey has been conducted in one form or another since 2001 and the results have been used by the Office to determine how complainants felt about the service they received and how they felt they were treated by the staff who dealt with their complaint.
